From Obereggen the route climbs into the Latemar, one of the more broken and dramatic groups in the Dolomites, and works its way up to the Torre di Pisa refuge with the leaning rock tower that gives it the name.
Your guide sets the rhythm and stops where the landscape earns it. It is a long day out and rewards a decent pair of boots.
