Boccadasse is a fishing village that Genoa grew around without swallowing — coloured houses stacked above a pebble cove, at the end of the city's seafront promenade. Arriving by kayak is how it was meant to be reached.
Three hours in a double kayak along the coast from Corso Italia, with a technical briefing first, viewpoint stops along the way, and a swim if the sea allows.
