Description
Your driver is waiting at Compaccio with the horses harnessed and a blanket over the seat. From there the sleigh moves out across the Alpe di Siusi at walking pace, past snow-covered pastures, through stands of larch, and along the tracks that link the old mountain huts. There is no soundtrack beyond the bells and the runners on the snow.
The ride is private, so the pace belongs to you — stop where the view opens up, or keep going. It is the oldest way to cross this plateau, and still the best.
Included: sleigh, horses, driver and blanket. Not included: the Alpe di Siusi cable car.
