Description
The Schmid Oberrautner estate has been making wine in Gries since long before Gries was part of Bolzano. The visit takes in the working side of the winery and then goes down into the Gothic cellars, vaulted in the fourteenth century and still in use.
The tasting at the end is where the two halves meet: old stone, current vintages, and someone who can tell you exactly what the difference between them is.
