Hocheppan's chapel holds some of the most important Romanesque frescoes in the Alps, including a famous scene of a woman eating dumplings — the earliest known picture of canederli, and evidence that this valley has been eating the same thing for eight hundred years.
Your guide takes you through the castle and reads the chapel walls with you. It can be combined with the Three Castles walk if you want more of the ridge.
