Description
Botanical Weaving is a creative workshop designed for anyone—whether you’re a complete beginner or already familiar with weaving—who wants to have fun, explore their creativity, and craft a unique tapestry to take home. Using a frame loom, you’ll weave with yarns of different textures and colors, combined with botanical elements such as plant fibers, dried flowers, and fresh greenery. These materials can be foraged from our garden or brought from home. For returning participants or those with prior experience, the workshop will also include more advanced techniques, allowing you to deepen your skills and experiment further.

14:30 – Gathering & Foraging: An optional самостоятель walk around Casa della Capra to collect plants and natural materials. Alternatively, participants may bring their own dried or fresh botanicals, or use those provided during the workshop.
15:00 – Introduction: We get to know each other and explore the materials, techniques, and sources of inspiration behind botanical weaving.
15:30 – Hands-on Creation:Time to start weaving. You’ll learn the fundamentals—from setting up the warp to developing the weave and finishing your piece—while freely experimenting with textures and natural elements.
18:00 – Closing Moment: We take a final photo of your tapestry before you bring your creation home. Farewell and end of the workshop.
