The Two Islands of the Gulf – Private Guided Tour

Meet your guide and board a private boat heading to Isola Bella, to discover the treasures of Baroque art. Departures are available only at 9:30 AM or 2:30 PM.

You will visit the sumptuous rooms of the palace, built in the mid-17th century by Vitaliano VI Borromeo, which houses magnificent works of art and lavish furnishings. You will walk through the Berthier Gallery, entirely covered with paintings showcasing the rich tradition of Italian art, the music room, Napoleon’s bedroom, and many other elegant halls, until reaching the most original part of the palace: the Six Grottos, unique and rare, completely decorated with small multicolored stones and also known as the “summer gardens.”

Throughout the visit, breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding mountains will accompany you, leading all the way to the highest terrace of the gardens, where the panorama seems to disappear into the horizon.

The gardens of Isola Bella are considered a masterpiece of Italian Baroque style, where nature and art blend harmoniously: statues, obelisks, fountains, and terraces interact perfectly with the surrounding landscape, creating a truly unique visual experience.

You will then continue to Isola dei Pescatori, a charming picturesque village that has inspired painters and writers and is still inhabited all year round. Here you will discover the traditions of fishing, the architecture of the old houses, and the small yet historic Church of San Vittore. You may stroll through the narrow village streets or along the lakeside and, why not, taste the island’s traditional dessert: the famous lemon cake.

At the end of the visit, a private boat will take you back to the departure point.
