Lake Maggiore Canoe Tour to the Borromean Islands

You’ve probably already visited the Borromean Islands. And while reaching them by motorboat, you may have noticed a group of people in canoes. You can be part of that group too by joining our canoe tour: starting from Stresa or Baveno, you will paddle towards Isola Bella and then reach Isola dei Pescatori for a guided walking tour. An experience of over 3 hours, navigating the waters of Lake Maggiore.

What we’ll do We meet 10 minutes before 9:30 AM at the designated meeting point in Stresa or Baveno (VB). A guide will welcome us and accompany us on this canoe adventure on Lake Maggiore. Once all participants are gathered, there will be a 15-minute briefing with all the useful information for the activity. We will then board our Canadian canoe, a boat that accommodates 3 passengers and 1 guide. Ready to paddle across Lake Maggiore, we will follow the shoreline of Isola Bella and pass by the Scoglio della Malghera. We will then reach Isola dei Pescatori, where we will disembark for a walking excursion: we will stroll through its characteristic alleys and visit the Fishing Museum, listening to the guide’s stories. During the approximately 30-minute stop on land, there will also be time to enjoy a gelato or an aperitif (not included), at your leisure. We will then return to the canoe and paddle back to the meeting point.

Who it is for The experience is suitable from age 6 upwards; children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Swimming skills are not required. The experience is easy and suitable for first-time canoeing.

Other information The duration of the excursion may vary depending on the number and experience level of participants. Small dogs are allowed; a maximum of 1 dog per canoe is permitted.
