Kayak/SUP experience at the Qualba waterfalls – Lake Orta

We will meet at the Centro Sportivo di Bagnella (Piazzale Lodi 1, Omegna) at 3:00 PM, where we’ll begin with a short briefing. We’ll go over the equipment, the experience ahead, as well as safety guidelines and proper behavior on the water.

Then the adventure truly begins: we’ll put on our trusty life jackets and, equipped with kayaks or SUPs, glide onto the water ready to set off.

The first part of the journey will take us toward the western shore of the lake—the wildest and most evocative side—where steep rocky walls plunge into the water and lush vegetation brushes the surface. After about an hour of paddling through this unspoiled landscape, we’ll reach the waterfalls of the Rio Qualba.

Here, we’ll leave our boats on a small beach and, after a short 5-minute walk, find ourselves right beneath the falls. It will be the perfect moment to slow down, breathe deeply, and fully embrace the surroundings—perhaps even enjoying a refreshing swim under the cascading water.

The break will continue on the beach before we head back to our kayaks or SUPs, get back on the water, and paddle together toward the starting point, carrying with us the energy and memories of this unique experience.
